2026-27 Season
Introducing Our Team Michigan Regional Teams
As our program continues to grow, we're excited to introduce the next chapter of our regional teams. Our former LakeShow program has officially rebranded as part of the Team Michigan family, creating a unified identity that better reflects our mission, values, and long-term player development pathway.
Rather than operating as a separate program, our regional teams will now compete under the Team Michigan brand while continuing to provide the same outstanding coaching, competitive opportunities, and player-first culture that families have come to expect. This rebrand allows every player to feel connected to one program with one vision: developing exceptional athletes and even better young men.
All athletes (with the exception of our U8 program) will participate in our monthly Team Michigan Principles sessions. These character development meetings remain a cornerstone of our program as we strive to develop more than great lacrosse players—we are committed to building young men who lead with integrity, work hard, serve others, and make a positive impact both on and off the field.
U14 – Team Michigan Riptide
Inspired by the powerful currents of Michigan's shoreline, Riptide represents speed, intensity, and relentless effort.
U12 – Team Michigan Superior
Named after Lake Superior, this team represents strength, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.
U10 – Team Michigan Torch
Inspired by Torch Lake, one of Michigan's most beloved inland lakes, this team symbolizes passion, growth, and a bright future.
U8 – Team Michigan Manistique
Named after the city of Manistique and inspired by the Ojibwa Chief Ossawinamakee ("Yellow Thunder"), this team represents courage, excitement, and the beginning of every player's lacrosse journey.
Tryout Information
Tryouts
There is no separate tryouts for our Regional Teams. Instead, players interested in joining any of our Regional Teams will attend the Team Michigan tryouts for their graduation year and be evaluated there!
Tryout Dates:
July 28: Graduation Years 2036–2033
July 29: Graduation Years 2032–2029
Following the evaluation process, Rosters will be assembled to find the best fit for each player's development. This setup allows every player to be evaluated in the same environment while still creating opportunities to keep growing, competing, and being part of the LakeShow program.
If you're interested in playing for Team Michigan's Regional Teams this season, please register for the Team Michigan tryout corresponding to your graduation year.

More About Team Michigan's Regional Teams
The Difference
Knowledgeable and experienced coaches that don’t just know their X’s and O’s, but are excellent teachers and mentors.
We take the time to make sure we are putting effective coaches in front of your player because not every great lacrosse player makes a great coach.
Appropriate tournament selection for your team.
Traveling out east is expensive, and not everyone has the time and resources to do it. That’s why we don’t use a one-size-fits-all model for every team. We select quality tournaments within Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois that will challenge players to maximize their development and opportunity for success over the summer.
Monthly Principal Team Zoom Meetings
Our goal is to develop players not only as athletes on the field, but as high-character individuals off the field. Each month, players will join a team Zoom meeting led by our Program Director, Nick Mulcahy, where we focus on the principles of becoming a great person, both on and off the field.
