Fall Means Getting Back Into a Routine!

What I love about Michigan, at least for our family, is we get all four seasons. We can argue half the time spring eludes us and it jumps right into summer from winter.

You're probably not feeling it yet, but fall is fun!

-The nervous excitement of having good friends back in your class, maybe even a whole new school.
-Big 10 football season.
-Cider and Donuts.
-Crisp mornings and changing colors.

But with the change of seasons comes a change of perspective and habits.

As we enter fall and the start of school, it's time to get back to a routine. Some of you are starting school this week. Some are starting next week.

What's important to do for a lot of you is creating some solid habits.

-How are you helping out at home in the morning with chores, your dog, making breakfast?
-Do you need to get up earlier to get your HW done or did you do it the night before?
-How are you holding yourself accountable as "your" time is now cut down from summer break ending?
-What work are you putting in now that you're "busy" - at least according to your standards?

We say this all the time: Time is your friend and your enemy

We're going to be starting up our zoom calls talking about goal setting VERY SOON. Before we do......

START OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR - CREATE SOME HABITS:
-Be responsible for yourself - get yourself out of bed and make your bed.
-Help out and turn your brain on in the morning. I have boys, I know what spacing out is from being one and having them.
-A little light stretch or calisthenics in the AM wakes you up and turns your brain on to tackle your day at school.
-Make some goals to get some things done before school and before breakfast.
-Wall ball - Maybe a shortened session
-Light footwork
-Chores to help out the family
-Reading

Get into some habits that set you up for success during the day. You'll feel better about your day if you start feeling accomplished first thing. Confidence will be higher to tackle your day. You'll be in a better mood, more inclined to help others, and you'll win the day.

Your success of what you're trying to accomplish is measured by stacking days. HOW ARE YOU STACKING DAYS? HOW ARE YOU BUILDING CONFIDENCE?

Time to start!!!!
